Ibeiji (Mon Jumeau) 2017

Project type

Choreographic Work

Date

March 2018

Location

Bordeaux, Paris, Berlin, Mexico, Kigali

Two bodies. An empty stage.
From silence emerges a fragile humanity, shaped through encounter, tension, and reflection.
Rooted in the rewriting of African traditional dances through a contemporary language, Beijing unfolds as an intimate dialogue between two beings who mirror, resist, and transform one another.
Carried by grace, intensity, and raw physicality, the piece questions identity, otherness, and the fragile space between division and connection in today’s world. A poetic and deeply human journey into the gaze we place upon ourselves through the presence of the other.

Choreography: Ruzibiza Wesley (Rwanda) & Nkwameh Nestro (Ivory Coast / France)/ 35 Min.
